Assessing part 2

Part 2 of Assessing the Trans-gender claim:

His third claim was that true satisfaction could only be found in changing his sexuality

Yet, this assertion has got it all backwards.

But before we look in judgement to those who go to the world to find fulfilment in their lives, let’s us remember that we too do exactly the same thing.  But where does a person get their identity or their true sense of self?

From their sexuality? From their soul?  From their spirit?

The first few verses of the Message translation of the gospel of John put it in a way that clearly tells us where we get our identity, or our true self, from.  We read,

Every person entering Life He brings into Light.  He was in the world, the world was there through Him, and yet the world didn't even notice. He came to His own people, but they didn't want Him. But whoever did want Him, who believed He was who He claimed and would do what He said, He made to be their true selves, their child-of-God selves. These are the God-begotten, not blood-begotten, not flesh-begotten, not sex-begotten. (John 1:9-13 The Message, emphasis added)

We only discover who we really are, our true self, our God-begotten self, when we find our identity in Jesus Christ.  Jesus declared that He came to give us a life of great satisfaction, but we will only find that satisfaction when we surrender our whole self to Him.

In summary |

I’m extremely passionate about equipping women to know how to assess the claims of their loved ones who are struggling with trans-gender desires.  I want to equip people to assess these claims from the Bible, for God’s Word is the source of truth that never changes and sets people free.

It is for this reason that I wrote my book “He can NEVER be She”.  Every person must assess the claims that those who desire to pursue a trans-gender lifestyle usually make.

No!  They are not a woman trapped in a man’s body.  Rather, they are confused in their gender identity.  BUT they are invited to seek to find their true identity in Jesus and discover who God created them to be.

No!  God was not mistaken when He fashioned their body.  Rather, the enemy has deceived their thinking, and Jesus came to set right every mistaken thought.

No! Gender identity is not separate or independent from sexuality.  Rather we can be confident that the sexuality we were born into is in accordance with the plans and purposes which God implanted in our inner self.

No! True satisfaction is not found in changing one’s sexuality.  It is only found in surrendering all that we are, our mistakes and our confusion, to Jesus Christ, so we may receive a new identity as His creation.
